Nearly $9,000 Raised!

Team Marine Parents participated in the Marine Corps Marathon and 10K in Washington D.C. on October 25th and the event was a huge success! A grand total of $8,807 was raised for Marine Parents outreach programs by twenty one enthusiastic participants from several different states across the nation.

Signs Show Support in Milwaukee

On October 4th, Nancy Norcisa was the lone Team Marine Parents™ participant at the Lakefront Marathon in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This Marine Mom trained all summer to prepare for the 26.2 mile challenge and her friends made some great signs to show their support. Through her dedication, Nancy not only finished the race - she also collected donations for The Care Package Project as part of her participation in Team Marine Parents.

4th Annual Jerabek Memorial Challenge

On Saturday August 9th, 2009, Team Marine Parents™ participated in the 4th Annual Jerabek Memorial Challenge in Hobart, Wisconsin. The rainy weather could not dampen spirits nor keep the participants away. The Wisconsin Gold Star families in attendance were given gold star shaped helium balloons to release if they chose to.

Team Marine Parents Participates in Camp Pendleton Mud Run and Quantico’s Run Amuck

Four Marine Moms braved these two events and collectively raised over $2,800 for Marine Parents outreach services. All four ladies exceeded their fundraising goals! Both Mud Run events are challenging running races with hills and obstacles such as river crossings, 5 foot walls with mud on both sides, tunnel crawls, slippery hill climbs, lots of mud pits and Marines with fire hoses!
